Excel allows users to drag formulas and numbers down the column or across the rows. Sometimes, you may need to use the same number down the column. Using the Dragging Tool
Here are the steps to follow:
1. Open the Excel application.
2. Enter the number you want to drag to other cells down the column.
3. Click on the cell that contains the dataset.
4. Locate the Dragging Tool on the cell's bottom-right side. Drag it downwards. That is all you need to do.
Using the Fill Down Tool
Fill Down Tool is used to drag numbers and values down the column. Below are steps to follow while using this method to drag the same number.
1. Open the Excel application.
2. Enter the number you want to drag to other cells down the column.
3. Select the cell(s) that you need to add the number.
4. Click the Home tab on the Ribbon and locate the Editing section. Under this section, click the Fill drop-down button.
