How do you import contacts from Gmail to Excel?

Gmail allows users to save contacts in its database. Being an online tool, it minimizes the risk of loss of contact. However, you may need to transfer these contacts to other storage. Google has an Export tool that transfers numbers to other locations. This article will discuss ways of transferring contacts from Gmail to Excel.

Three methods can be used:

Using the Google Contact site

You need to have a Google account to use the Google Contact tool. If you don’t have one, follow this link to create one https://www.google.com/account/

Then, follow these steps to import contacts from Gmail to Excel:

1. Using your favorite browser, type this link in the google section https://contacts.google.com/ and hit the Enter button.

2. Log in to the site with your Google Account details.

3. In the left pane, click on the Contacts and select the contacts you wish to export to an Excel file. Alternatively, you can click the Other Contacts button.

4. Then, click the Export button on the left pane.

5. An Export dialogue box will open. In the dialogue box, toggle on the Selected Contacts button.

6. To Export as an Excel File, toggle on the Google CSV button.

7. Finally, click the Export button. The selected contacts will be downloaded and saved on your device in an Excel File. Double-click on the downloaded file to open it on the Excel Screen.

Using the Google Account Apps icon

Steps:

1. Using your favorite browser, type this link in the google section https://contacts.google.com/ account and hit the Enter button.

2. Log in to the site with your Google Account details. In the Google Account screen, click on the Apps Icon and select Contacts from the menu.

3. In the left pane, click on the Contacts and select the contacts you wish to export to an Excel file. Alternatively, you can click the Other Contacts button.

4. Then, click the Export button on the left pane.

5. An Export dialogue box will open. In the dialogue box, toggle on the Selected Contacts button.

6. To Export as an Excel File, toggle on the Google CSV button.

7. Finally, click the Export button. The selected contacts will be downloaded and saved on your device in an Excel File. Double-click on the downloaded file to open it on the Excel Screen.
